The original poster, who discovered the snake while doing yard work, carefully relocated it back to the woods and reminded others not to harm these snakes: “They’re just vibing.”
Copperheads are venomous but not aggressive, relying on their natural camouflage to avoid threats. Their reddish-brown markings make them nearly invisible in wooded areas, which is why this photo has left many social media users stumped.
