How One Employee’s Niche Expertise Turned Into a Six-Figure Salary After AI Tool Failure

I know a guy who was a top-payed employee in the company. He did a very niche job. It was electrical engineering but in a very niche department. Maybe 7 people in Europe have the knowledge this guy has.

Management put some Al tool together and hired a developer for about 1/3 of the wages and let him go. Long story short, the Al tool did not work. Management had to hire him back, and whilst he won’t tell us his new salary I know he’s gone from a 5 digit to a 6 digit salary.
