Los Angeles, California is the site of Lindsay Jean Wagner’s birth on June 22, 1949. She had early encouragement to follow her passion for the performing arts as a result of her upbringing in a creative and artistic household.

At the age of seven, she and her mother relocated to Portland, Oregon, after her parents’ divorce. Wagner was a cheerleader and theater major at David Douglas High School.
