Prince William and Prince Harry were once very close, not just as brothers but as friends. However, Harry’s marriage to Meghan Markle strained their bond, which many thought was unbreakable.

According to the book *Finding Freedom*, Meghan and Kate Middleton didn’t get along. Writers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand said, “Meghan would agree with the assessment that the duchesses were not the best of friends,” adding that Kate wasn’t very hospitable when Meghan joined the family. Meghan hoped Kate would have supported her more, especially during tough times with the press.

Despite the tension between Meghan and Kate, Harry and Kate shared a close relationship. Kate had a nickname from Harry, “Cath,” showing their bond. Kate once said, “We did become very close friends from quite early on.”

Although William and Harry’s relationship has since soured, royal biographer Christopher Andersen believes Kate could help reunite the brothers. “Of course, Kate would love nothing more than to see the brothers kiss and make up,” he said, but she’s also loyal to her husband, William, and understands his reasons for remaining upset.
