She became a household name & global phenomenon but her sudden death shocked us all

Elizabeth Montgomery, best known for her role as Samantha Stephens in “Bewitched,” became a global icon in the 1960s. Tragically, her life was cut short by colon cancer in 1995.

Born on April 15, 1933, into a family of actors, Elizabeth was destined for stardom. She debuted on television in her father’s show, “Robert Montgomery Presents,” and later found fame on Broadway and in Hollywood. Her most memorable role was the charming witch, Samantha, in “Bewitched,” which aired from 1964 to 1972. Elizabeth’s career extended beyond this role, as she starred in numerous TV movies, earning her the title “Queen of the TV Movies.”

Elizabeth Montgomery passed away on May 18, 1995, at the age of 62, after a battle with colon cancer. She died peacefully at home with her family by her side. Her legacy as a talented and beloved actress lives on.
