No one answered until little Mary stood up and said, \u201cYou should not be asking sixth-graders a question like that! I\u2019m going to tell my parents, and they will go and tell the principal, who will then fire you!\u201d<\/p>\n

Mrs. Parks ignored her and asked the question again, \u201cWhich body part increases to 10 times its size when stimulated?\u201d<\/p>\n

Little Mary\u2019s mouth fell open.<\/p>\n

Then she said to those around her, \u201cBoy, is she going to get in big trouble!\u201d<\/p>\n

The teacher continued to ignore her and said to the class, \u201cAnybody?\u2019<\/p>\n

Finally, Billy stood up, looked around nervously, and said, \u201cThe body part that increases 10 times its size when stimulated is the pupil of the eye.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mrs. Parks said, \u201cVery good, Billy,\u201d then turned to Mary and continued.<\/p>\n
