In 2020, her leg was cut off because an Osteosarcoma tumor in her tibia was found to be cancerous and likely to kill her.<\/p>\n<p>When Sao\u00edrse joined Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Toy Show in 2020, her story became well known.<\/p>\n<div class=\"g g-4\">\n<div class=\"g-single a-27\">\n<div id=\"M837594ScriptRootC1539675_12649\">\n<div id=\"AdskeeperComposite1539675_12649\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Galway girl\u2019s fight against a rare form of bone cancer amazed everyone with how strong and tough she was.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/ceeden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image-1-1.png\" width=\"230\" height=\"153\" \/><br \/>\nThe death of Sao\u00edrse has broken the hearts of her parents, Roseanna and Ollie, and her little sister Farrah-Rose.<\/p>\n<p>They told everyone about their terrible loss by saying, \u201cAfter a long brave and dignified battle, our hearts are shattered to tell you that our beautiful little Sao\u00edrse took her last breath in our arms on Tuesday.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"g g-5\">\n<div class=\"g-single a-28\">\n<div id=\"M837594ScriptRootC1540666_07e78\">\n<div id=\"AdskeeperComposite1540666_07e78\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThank you to all of our wonderful fans for thinking about Sao\u00edrse and us over the past few weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, we also think of you because we know how much the country loved Sao\u00edrse and how she changed the lives of so many people.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"g g-6\">\n<div class=\"g-single a-30\">\n<div id=\"M837594ScriptRootC1540669_02653\">\n<div id=\"AdskeeperComposite1540669_02653\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cCancer, you took her away from us. You also took away our dreams and the life we had.\u201d Things will never be the same!<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/tearsoffaith.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/4-76.webp\" width=\"134\" height=\"201\" \/><br \/>\n\u201cPlease give us some space as we go on our last and final trip with our beautiful girl. \u201cFarrah Rose and Mamma Dadda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President Michael D. Higgins and stars from all over show business have paid tribute to the beloved girl. Her story was told on The Toy Show the first year they started their huge charity campaign.<\/p>\n<p>through her battle, Sao\u00edrse\u2019s family gave a \u201cdevastating\u201d health update in November of last year, saying that her cancer had spread.<\/p>\n<p>After a recurring tumor was found in her left lung earlier in 2023, they said it was a \u201chuge shock\u201d to them that the cancer had spread to her other lung.<\/p>\n<p>It was Sao\u00edrse\u2019s \u201cbiggest battle to date\u201d because she had to go through more chemotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Roseanna said, \u201cLittle did they know that their world was about to fall apart again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo say we\u2019re devastated just doesn\u2019t cover it,\u201d she said. It\u2019s not fair that she\u2019s been to war so many times and fought so hard.<\/p>\n<p>Sao\u00edrse had already had a few dreams come true, like going to Old Trafford to see Manchester United play and going on her dream vacation to Disneyland.<\/p>\n<p>When people heard that Sao\u00edrse had died, they sent her a lot of tributes.<\/p>\n<p>The office of President Michael D. Higgins said, \u201cPresident Higgins has sent his deepest condolences to the family of Sao\u00edrse Ruane from Kiltullagh, Co. Galway, after her death at the age of 12.\u201d Everyone was moved by Sao\u00edrse\u2019s strength and kindness.<\/p>\n<p>Tanaiste Micheal Martin also said, \u201cVery saddened by the death of Sao\u00edrse Ruane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will always remember meeting Saoirse and her mother Roseanna in Croke Park and seeing her beautiful smile and love for GAA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Toy Show Appeal is an amazing thing she left behind.\u201d We\u2019re very sorry for her family and friends\u2019 loss.<\/p>\n<p>Tubs\u2019 tears<br \/>\nAfter Saoirse\u2019s appearance on The Toy Show, Ryan Tubridy, who used to host Late Late, became friends with her family. He said that the \u201cworld is a poorer place\u201d without her.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, hearing the news of his dear young friend Sao\u00edrse Ruane\u2019s death made him feel the saddest thoughts possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs soon as we met, we became friends.\u201d People all over the country fell in love with her, and because of her, a charity was founded. Through this, she helped make the lives of thousands of Irish children better and more hopeful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA child who is selfless, humble, kind, hopeful, and thoughtful.\u201d She was everything our country should and could be, and her death will make a lot of us think about things.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy condolences and all the love I can muster go out to Roseanna, Ollie, and Farrah Rose. They are a beautiful family whose whole world has been turned upside down by this tragedy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank them for letting us all know about their amazing Saorse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe world is a poorer place without Sao\u00edrse but I do hope that twinkle in her eye shines on and on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The legacy of Sao\u00edrse<br \/>\nRoz Purcell, a radio host on RTE 2FM, said, \u201cNo one will forget Sao\u00edrse; she left a huge mark and mark on Ireland.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn 12 years, she did so much.\u201d May she rest in peace. Think about all of her family and friends who will miss her a lot.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick O\u2019Mahony, the captain of Ireland\u2019s rugby team, said, \u201cI\u2019m very sorry to read this.\u201d She was an inspiration.<\/p>\n<p>Rosana, I\u2019m so sorry, said Kathryn Thomas of RTE. Your lovely daughter made our lives so much better.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA small part of what she brought into your life.\u201d That smile is great. Thinking about all of you. \u201cTake it easy, little angel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Today FM It was DJ Declan Pierce who wrote, \u201cMy beautiful friend. It breaks my heart so much.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best thing about my job is getting to know Sao\u00edrse through the radio show. From the bottom of my heart, I love you all the time.<\/p>\n<p>Singer RuthAnne wrote on her blog, \u201cHeartbroken. She was truly unique, and her bravery knew no bounds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am so thankful that I met her and had the chance to sing with her. What an honor!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is something I will always treasure and hold close to my heart. Lots of love and light to everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Saoirse\u2019s funeral will be held at St. Peter and Paul\u2019s Church, Kiltullagh, on Sunday at 1.45 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>It also said, \u201cSao\u00edrse will rest at home on Friday, March 8, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom the Bullaun Church parking lot (H62 YH66), a bus service will leave.
